I've gotten behind on my blog! I'm going to post the latest and hope to catch up one of the next few days. Today was the 100th day of school! We celebrated for the ENTIRE DAY! During small groups for reading today did lots of reading-based 100s activities. We tried to write 100 words, write our name and notice patterns with 100 blocks, read a 100's day poem, and write about what we would spend $100. We also made pictures of what we thought we'd look like when we're 1oo years old and we made some pretty neat hats with 100 stamps on them. We put 10 strips on our hats that each had 10 stamps a piece. We got to count 100 M&M's and sort them by colors and started graphing them (we'll have to finish tomorrow!). We also counted out 100 pieces of straws and strung them to make a snake. This afternoon we estimated how many licks it would take to finish a popsicle; less than 100, equal to 100, or greater than 100. And of course, we had to prove it! So, we ended the day with a popsicle treat! We had a great day and look forward to finishing up some of our activities tomorrow.
